Answer

Birkoth hashachar should be said as one performs or immediately after the relevant actions which one performs upon awaking in the morning. For example, after one opens one's eyes upon awakening one says "Baruch Ata Adonai Eloheinu melech haolam pokeach ivrim."

Chazal provided us with an amazing manual. When we follow the manual as Chazal intended the performance of the mitzvoth will seem much more meaningful. Take the Bar-Hayim challenge-don't just think about saying the birkoth hashachar in the proper manner. Do so-and you'll see the difference!
